Artists’ Book Fair
1 – 9 October 2021
BOOKED is devoted to artists’ book works produced independently by an international selection of artists, small press publications and related forms of art processes. The program will take place at MUU Helsinki Contemporary Art Centre at Cable Factory, and Konttori, the Cable Factory’s new multi-use space.
This inaugural presentation of BOOKED Artists’ Book Fair, which was originally designed to be a lively weekend-long event debuting in 2020, will now be spread across eight days, from Friday, 1 October until Saturday, 9 October 2021.

BOOKED will highlight works situated at the interface of literature and visual art. Its scope includes spoken word presentations, workshops, and discussions with specialists in the field. The inclusion of diverse text-based visual art projects, including sound and performance art, will add to the dynamic range of experiences on offer.
While exhibition and selected performances will be hosted by MUU Helsinki Contemporary Art Centre, Konttori’s range of facilities will accommodate discussions, a selection of workshops and performances, and the BOOKED shop.
BOOKED will present works by 65 artists, who hail from thirteen countries and an even larger number of national backgrounds.
More specific information regarding the times and days of the program’s special events have been released in the BOOKED Event Calendar. To stay up-to-date with all that’s happening, please join the special BOOKED emailing list at this link.
