Persona Art Festival is a unique opportunity for innovative and emerging artists to showcase their work in a major contemporary art show in London.
The independent festival will run from 4 to 8 May 2011 at two venues in East London: a large exhibition will be presented at The Rag Factory just off Brick lane, while a series of talks and workshops focusing on artistic practice will be hosted by the 10 Gales Gallery in Bethnal Green. All events will be free.
The project, directed by A Moving Exhibition curators Antria Pelekanou and Zia Fernandez, will bring together contemporary artists from around the world creating work in a range of different media, from painting and sculpture to audio, video and performance art. Particular attention will be paid to artists not represented by a gallery and works produced in new or less frequently displayed media.

“In the beginning was sound”
The Fruits Electric borrows iconograpphy from very diverse sources to take us on a audiovisual journey of dicovery in the quest for the primordial origin of sound. The Greek myth of Aphrodite´s birth from the oceanic foam, the biblical passage of Eve and th forbidden apple or Grim´s fairy tale Hansel & Gretel, are references used to create an audiovisual experience that is at once intrigging and seductive.
