Directed by Jan Cvitkovič
Love on the Top of the World, 2015, DCP/BR/HDcam, Short fiction film, 16 min.
A vivacious 80-year-old couple have been together for what has virtually been their whole life. Each other is all they have got, and all that remains are little things and small events. They live in a modest little house with an idyllic old – fashioned rural atmosphere. Next to their house is a small garden with a few chickens and a goat. During the last scene the camera zooms out. The elderly lovers have built their home in the middle of urbane environment, in the centre of a large city – on the roof of the world. Their heaven is where they will be buried as well – because coffins do not fit in elevators.
Jan Cvitkovič was born in 1966. Archaeologist, actor, screenwriter (Idle Running, 1999, Janez Burger), director. He received several awards at home and abroad, the most important of them being the Venice Lion of the Future for his feature film direction debut Bread and Milk and Altadis – New Directors Award for his feature film Gravehopping. He also writes short stories and poetry.

Jessica Gnyp and Víctor Ballesteros
Laptop On The Beach, 2015, HD-video, stereo, 5.23 min.
Minerals filter through previous collected rock and cement everything together. Thus sedimentary rock is unique to the beach and where other bodies of water are found. Manuel De Landa describes the role rivers play in the formation of sedimentary rock as »hydraulic computers« or »sorting machines« as the pebbles and rocks of various sizes are sorted as they roll down the river and eventually settle. Next the rocks and pebbles are »cemented« into an entity of its own »with a strength and permeability which cannot be ascribed to the sum of the individual pebbles.« The rocks we have filmed were formed by depositional activity that took place 99.6 – 65.5 million years ago before the Hornby Island existed. So when we look at them or touch them we are connecting to this unimaginable past. The sound for this video was collected on the beach, you hear water, crickets, insects and humans which makes the viewer aware of our contemporary relationship to these formations. The sound is sculptural and shifts back and fourth between speakers.

The video Wallpapers is part of a larger project called Amoretti. It involves poetry, photography, video and music.
Amoretti is a poet who appears in the artist’s dreams.
He touches and elevates long-forgotten content from the deepest corners of the soul, narrating calmly and highlighting them. Amoretti dictates the words the artist sets to music and creates a corresponding video. Images summarise and emphasise the atmosphere of the words. Music in this video bears a similar significance.
Wallpapers are the feeling and the impression of a time and space from the past.

Urša Kastelic
Homo sapiens sapiens, 2015, 1.19 min.
[New Latin Homō sapiēns, species name : Latin homō, man + Latin sapiēns, wise, rational, present participle of sapere, to be wise.]
Homo sapiens (Latin: “man who knows”) is the binomial nomenclature (also known as the scientific name) for the human species. Homo is the human genus, which also includes Neanderthals and many other extinct species of hominid; H. sapiens is the only surviving species of the genus Homo. Modern humans are the subspecies Homo sapiens sapiens, which differentiates them from what has been argued to be their direct ancestor, Homo sapiens idaltu. The ingenuity and adaptability of Homo sapiens has led to its becoming, arguably, the most influential species on the planet; it is currently deemed of least concern on the Red List of endangered species by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
