Video art arrives in Rome at the first edition of the ArtRooms fair, which will be held in Rome from 2 to 4 March, at the Hotel The Church Palace, in via Aurelia 481.
14 video artists selected by a jury of experts and 6 invited “guest” artists go to design a particularly significant scenario of the trends in video art worldwide.
There are several topics treated, as different are the narrative approaches, processing technologies, and the use of sounds and music.
“The picture which is going to compose – underlines the curator – is really suggestive from the point of view of visual narration, both on the level of the expressive language and the techniques used, and from the point of view of the treated themes, from the most intimate to the more social inspiration ones”.
The selected artists come from Italy, England, Israel, Germany, United States, Bulgaria and Brazil, to which are added guest artists coming from Iran, Taiwan, Serbia, Angola, Spain and Italy.
A curatorial choice, one made by ArtRooms Rome, that harmoniously frames the freshness of younger expressions with more mature and consolidated ones.
“We are extremely privileged to be able to host Video Art in a structure like the Bachelet Cinema Auditorium here at The Church Palace – says Cristina Cellini Antonini, director and founder of the Fair – the excellence of the room, equipped with the most sophisticated multimedia services and dolby surround, will allow us to offer viewers a program worthy of the most prestigious film premieres “.
